How to start a million dollar company:
Karan Goel (UChicago '05) and Michael Dworecki (UChicago '08)
CORE alumni came to speak about how to start a million dollar company straight out of college. Michael worked with Karan on a couple of start up ideas, including PrepMe, which Karan eventually sold to a major test prep company for an undisclosed amount.

Mark Monyek (UChicago Booth '83)
McDonald's Sr. director of finance came to speak about corporate finance at the company, and how they plan to finance themselves for worldwide growth.

Poker Tournament:
UChicago Texas Hold'em
theILC hosts a series of full-ring no limit texas hold'em poker tournaments. Players from all over come to show off their skills in a live tournament setting. It's also a great time for ILC members to hang out.

ILC Apprentice:
Downtown Chicago
theILC members get a chance to group into teams and compete in a Donald Trump style competition. Teams are given an eccletic array of items in a box and are forced to try to make as much money as possible with them in the streets of Chicago. The current record is USD49.
